Interesting that Kirby is justifying increased fares by citing fares returning to pre-covid level. If there were true competition, Kirby would be trying to find ways to reduce fares and compete for market share
This is why they’re manipulating everything to keep asset prices up because if prices go down then rich people won’t pay the higher prices and then everything falls apart. They’re going to tell you the labor is fine until we get the 12 month revisions like last year but the market will trade based on lies because they want the market to go up. Inflation softened because of oil prices falling to $68 a barrel but now they’re going up again and the cpi and PCE is designed to hide inflation. If we calculated it and the unemployment rate like we did in 1980 then both would be much higher.
