Allow me to correct something. Venezuela is the same size as Texas and California combined. The only place destroyed by the earthquake is the town of La Guaira. La Guaira is a beach town, just like Miami Beach, with expensive hotels and expensive private condominiums. A small apartment at "Parque Caraballeda" one of the buildings destroyed was advertised for sale 2 months ago for $68,000 dollars. A Sheraton hotel and a Marriott hotel were destroyed too. 90% of the buildings destroyed were Private Properties. Many were Beach Clubs, Boat Clubs with expensive 56 ft. Hatera boats with twin Volvo Penta turbo diesel engines parked in their piers. So, let me allow to say this: I have never seen a Government anywhere in the world, paying damages or total loss to Private Properties. Venezuela will not pay a single cent to owners of Private Properties. They are supposed to have their own Hurricane, Earthquake, Flood and Fire insurance. By saying this, I would like to debunk any theories, the Venezuelan government is broke, is bankrupted and they will pay billions and billions of dollars in damage.

The first reports after the earthquakes stated approximately 300,000 dead. I am glad to see that number was exaggerated by the media. As an elderly person I would have been at home so I probably would be in the rubble if I lived there.
I would just like to pose that in Kansas when Oklahoma ramped up its drilling for gas and oil we started having earthquakes. 100 miles away. It was cracking our walls. Trump gets a hold of Venezuela and they start drill, baby drill, baby drill, baby drill, and Venezuela has deadly massive earthquakes. It is a proven fact that drilling aggressivelycan cause serious damage. So I blame the US, which is where I live for the Venezuela earthquakes.
Face it. No country is prepared for this kind of disaster.
