Labor were pre warned this would happen.
If you’re on the receiving end of Labor policy pain and voted for them thinking your life was going to get better, it must particularly sting.

The increase in taxes and high immigration has transformed Australia into a low trust society with high crime. While the labor and greens voters got what they voted for, I'd love to see a change at the next election with One Nation in power. Australia has become unrecognizable & unaffordable, which is crazy considering how resource rich the country is.

The Goverment needs to increase Rent Assistance for low income People!
They are living in cars and cant eat 😮💨💔🇦🇺

They’ve been skyrocketing for years.

Sydney rent $850 a week? This will cause massive homelessness! It's inevitable!
@
it doesn't make sense to be a landlord anymore. Every month you pay mortgage, insurance, rates land tax. The rent doesn't cover the costs, so you add money from your salary. Then you have very little rights and control of your asset and society thinks you're ripping people iff by subsidising someone else's rent. Stata and federal governments have declared war on rental property owners. Were not rent seekers, we subsidise accommodation for other people, take on a lot of risk, in the hope we can sell for a higher price. it doesn't make sense anymore to do this
@
Simple words … If people’s home loans are worth more than a house , then of course they are going to up the rent … what did Albo and Chalmers think was going to happen …?
@
I’m in Mildura area and rents go up max every year for past 5 years.
I’m working full time and looking at renting a caravan as it’s all we can afford.

Labor once again hurting people they claim to represent

Every time the alp touches anything in the economy it always ends in failure and a difficult life for Australian families.

Housing is busting
@
What our rulers do not want people to know and what the media does not understand. Australia is not alone in its housing problems or any other globalist policies which are being implemented in Canada, the UK and most of the EU. The plans have been adapted for individual countries, but the end result is the same. Carney takes the blame in Canada, Starmer in the UK, Albanese in Australia, Merz in Germany; the list goes on, but they are all following orders. Voting no longer makes a difference should be the news.

How young people can get into the housing market when rent makes up a large portion of their income

I want this party to go. I can't pay higher rent. Everything is way too expensive.
