The only argument against it that made sense to me was we have SHIT TONS of coal. Keep the [ now clean ] coal generators going.
Every other option can not work. FULL STOP.
Delusional solar and wind power costs more in carbon than straight up burning coal. I've done the research and mathematics.

Everytime there’s a nuclear incident, it’s because someone wasn’t following procedures or someone was cutting corners. YOU CANNOT DO THAT WITH NUCLEAR POWER! The US navy has a perfect record with nuclear power because they don’t fk around with it! Follow the rules and you’ll be fine. The problem with nuclear power isn’t nuclear power. It’s people!
There is no chance that Australia will develop nuclear energy while Bowen,Albanese and other useless politicians are anywhere near government.Yet they approve nuclear submarines.Australia is decades behind in developing nuclear power.The LNP should have pushed to have the ban on nuclear power,imposed by a Labor government years ago,overturned .Labor have no concept of the needs of future generations.
