It's not over. Kimi has definitely passed one half of the test. But the second half will be difficult as Oscar was in a similar position last year. Mercedes reliability will also make Kimi's job quite difficult. Then there is Lewis and Ferrari too. Russell is also most likely going to come back quite strongly in the second half.

Kimi's driving well, but it's all tainted by this being the least driver skill reliant set of regulations in F1 history. with a computer AI managing electrical deployment algorithms lap by lap, minimal cornering speeds to maximise straight line speed to optimise laptime is the absolute least skill expressive version of F1.
